Theworldisfullofmysterieswaitingtobediscovered.Oftentimes,wedon’tneedtolooktoofartofindthem.Sometimestheyarehiddeninplainsight,rightinourownbackyard.Thisisastoryaboutonesuchdiscovery–asecretgardenthatheldwithinitthepromiseofadventureandwonder.LiMingwasacuriousboywholovedexploringthegreatoutdoors.Helivedinasmalltownnestledamongthehillsandvalleysofthecountryside.Thetownhadmanybeautifulgardens,butLiMinghadalwayswonderediftherewasmoretothemthanmeetstheeye.Oneday,asLiMingwaswanderingthroughthewoodsontheoutskirtsoftown,hestumbleduponahiddenpath.Thepathledhimdeeperintothewoods,untilhecameuponalarge,rustedgate.Thegatewasoldandcreaky,butLiMingcouldn’tresisttheurgetopeekinside.
Ashepushedthegateopen,LiMingfoundhimselfinalush,overgrowngarden.Thegardenwasfilledwithvibrantflowers,toweringtrees,andwindingpaths.LiMingfeltasenseofexcitementandwonderwashoverhim–hehadneverseenanythingquitelikeitbefore.LiMingspenthoursexploringthegarden,marvelingatitsbeautyandmystery.Hefollowedthewindingpaths,discoveringnewnooksandcranniesaroundeverycorner.Therewerehiddenponds,waterfalls,andevenasmallcottagenestledinthebackofthegarden.Ashemadehiswaydeeperintothegarden,LiMingnoticedthattheplantsandflowersseemedtobearrangedinaveryspecificway.Therewereclustersofrosesinonearea,androwsoftulipsinanother.Hewonderediftherewassomesecrettothelayoutofthegardenthathehadyettodiscover.Atthebackofthegarden,LiMingfinallycameuponthecottage.Itwassmallandquaint,withathatchedroofandasinglewindow.Thedoorwaslocked,butLiMingcouldn’tshakethefeelingthattherewassomethingimportantinside.
